Mr. Lynch brings 20 years of communications product development experience, including 15 years of specific semiconductor IC development. As VP, Product Development at Peraso Technologies, Mr. Lynch is responsible for Peraso’s WiGig product roadmap. In addition, Mr. Lynch has responsibility for all digital IC and software development. During his time at Peraso, Mr. Lynch has been a key contributor to the WiGig and 802.11ad specifications. Prior to founding Peraso, Mr. Lynch was a founder of Cogency Semiconductor, a fabless semiconductor company focused on the development of modems for powerline networking. At Cogency, Mr. Lynch was primarily responsible for driving the system architecture. In this role, he made significant technical contributions to the HomePlug Powerline specification, and was recognized by the organization as a HomePlug Fellow. Upon the Intellon acquisition of Cogency, Mr. Lynch became the Director of Software Engineering at Intellon.

Maverick Shih, president of Acer BYOC and Smart Products Business, takes a pivotal role in the company’s significant change in approach to the ICT industry and the Internet of Things. Under this BYOC vision, Acer is transforming into a hardware + software + services player that enables customers to seamlessly integrate their PC and mobile devices for accessing data anytime and anywhere. Shih’s role includes overseeing the developments of smart devices including smartphones and wearables.

Shih joined Acer in 2011 as special assistant to the president of the Cloud Technology Business Group to oversee personal cloud services. A year later the business group launched its first private cloud service, and in 2013 announced the support across multiple devices and platforms on Windows, Android and iOS operating systems.

The Cloud Technology Business Group was renamed as the BYOC Business Group in February 2014, and Shih was promoted as the group president. He was charged with leading the development of Acer apps for end users, building alliances with software and hardware developers to innovate on the Acer Open Platform, creating a BYOC ecosystem, and exploring new possibilities in the internet of things.

Shih began his career as an engineer in 2002 at ALi Microelectronics Corp. in the U.S., during this time he was awarded with three technology patents related to multimedia signal processing technology. In 2004 he started his own company, MAVs Lab Inc., specializing in IC design and multimedia research and development. He then joined EgisTec in 2008 as vice chairman focusing on fingerprint sensor and security software.

Born in 1973, Shih holds a B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics at Taiwan’s Fu Jen Catholic University, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Mirian Kuao is Communication Segment Marketing Manager at Macronix, in charge of developing and managing the go-to-market strategies, driving outbound marketing initiatives and business operations. Mirian joined Macronix in 2013. She has almost fifteen years of experience in the high-technology sector.

Mirian Kuao’s background spans a range of technologies and markets. Prior to Macronix, Mirian holds various positions in application marketing, business development, market Intelligence analysis, and production planning.

美國德州大學奧斯丁校區電腦科學博士。曾任職於美國貝爾實驗室及朗訊公司，從事有線及無線通訊系統軟體開發、系統架構，及系統工程等工作。專長為行動通訊系統、IEEE 802無線網路、系統模擬分析，及軟體工程等。2001年加入工研院負責行動通訊技術發展、產業推動、以及國際合作和推動參與國際標準活動等工作。目前為工研院資通所特聘研究，負責推動台灣與歐盟在5G的合作、台灣資通產業標準協會(TAICS)與國際標準發展組織的交流合作、以及參與ITU-R 和WWRF等國際組織對下世代行動通訊需求和技術趨勢的探討和標準制定。謝博士目前也是國立交通大學資工系兼任教授。
