ST Liew is a Vice President of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and the President of Qualcomm Taiwan and South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand. ST was born in Malaysia and was educated in Malaysia, Singapore and the UK. His permanent home is Singapore. In this role, ST is responsible for leading all business and operational functions for Qualcomm in the region. Prior to this role, ST served as the Vice President and President of Qualcomm Taiwan. ST has more than 30 years of experience leading businesses and R&D in the telecommunication industry. Most recently ST was the President of Acer’s new Business Group SPBG that focused on R&D and Sales of non PC lines of product for the global market while living in Switzerland and later in Taiwan. Ken Lin is Sr. Sales Director of Commercial business in Taiwan. He is responsible for developing and managing AMD Server and commercial business for both CPU and GPU in Taiwan region, including business development, growing revenue and getting new design-wins by working with Taiwan ODMs/OEM partners to promote AMD solutions in the region as well as global market. It includes DataCenter, Server and edge computing in OEMs/ODMs as well as Taiwan domestic commercial market including Server, NB, DT, WS and embedded solutions for Taiwan customers. Ken also acted as one of AMD Taiwan site leaders in 2018 July for 2 years. As Taiwan site leader, he worked with site leader team to lead and manage AMD Taiwan site cross functions and teams to drive future business growth as well all the site activities in AMD Taiwan.
Ken has joined AMD for over 19 years since 2004. He managed Greater China embedded business for 10 years to led both embedded sales and FAE teams to grow embedded business from ODMs and OEMs by working with industrial distributors in Greater China. Ken expanded his role to led both Server and embedded biz in Taiwan since 2015 which is 2 years before AMD launched EPYC. Ken rebuilt AMD Server business team in Taiwan since 2015 and has gained significant progress via strategic partnership with TWN ODMs. With AI/GPU Server booming, Ken is now focus on Server and commercial business development with OEM/ODM partners to keep expanding AMD’s growth in Taiwan as well as WW market via elevating ODMs’ add-on value to grow Server business together.
Ken has been working in the IT industry for over 34 years and started his Greater China business development and management experience since 2001. He is good at strategic business development, team development, building long term customer relationship, delivering result to achieve goals via strong execution and leadership. Previously, Ken served his sales, marketing and management roles in various US companies including Cypress, 3Com, Iomega, Imation and 3M with rich global and Taiwan business development experience.

He is also the Chair of IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Taipei Chapter.
He received his Ph.D degree from Institute of Electronics, National Chiao Tung University, and graduated from EMBA, College of Management, National Taiwan University. Design Trends for Mobile Processor with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Multimodal Models (LMMs)
Topic Outline：
In generative AI, large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated outstanding language understanding and content generation capabilities in many AI applications. Large multimodal models (LMMs) combine images, audio, human-computer interaction, and various external signals to provide more intuitive user experience. However, these models have parameters ranging from tens of billions to trillions, requiring massive computational power and consuming excessive resources. This not only impacts AI computing in the cloud but also has a significant impact on resource-constrained edge devices. Even though there are compact LLMs and LMMs (near or less than 10 billion parameters) that reduce computational load, such as Llama 2, Gemini Nano, Mistral, etc., they still require far more computational resources and memory bandwidth than previous tasks in mobile processors.
In this talk, we will discuss the relationship between AI model size and mobile processors, as well as various new trends for AI computing architecture. In addition, device-side AI models in mobile processors can collaborate with cloud-side AI models in data centers to provide better performance. These LLM/LMM trends and use senarios will shape the future design of AI computing architectures. In this presentation, we will discuss these issues, especially the impact on the design of future mobile processors

The AI & automotive industry are both undergoing a major transformation.
